NYC Brand Representative - NYC

The 'Alewife', creator of potions both medicinal & spiritual. We are seeking the right person to represent our core values, carry our core message to the public, and to strengthen our relationships with our established accounts as well as to cultivate new accounts. Proper handling of our liquid is of absolute importance. This position reports directly to the Sales Director.


Applicant MUST have 3 years of relevant craft beer sales experience in either a supply, wholesale or retail capacity or combination of such. 


This is a field sales position, applicant should be prepared to work in this capacity.

  • Is extremely organized, detail oriented, and has strong follow through with tasks. Possesses excellent communication skills, is honest, and hard working.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • The Sales Representative will develop a deep and intuitive understanding of Alewife Brewing's product line and its overall brand and will partner with ownership & management to identify regional opportunities for growth and placement at events, restaurants and bars, and bottle shops

  • Quality assurance of Alewife Brewing’s beer in the field at all times 

  • Educate accounts and retail partners about the importance of fan expectations, and proper handling of Alewife Brewing’s products (always cold, proper display, clean service, and fair pricing)

  • Job requires candidate to spend 80% of time in the field servicing existing Alewife accounts as well as cultivating new business

  • Must be flexible and prepared to work weekends and evenings as needed and to enthusiastically represent Alewife Brewing at festivals. Set up, plan and organize promotions, tastings, and events

  • Assist with launching new Alewife Brewing brands and managing POS display materials for accounts

  • Focus on “problem solving” more than “problem identifying” with a proactive presence

  • Generate sales and marketing strategies in new and existing distribution areas. Produce reports and present to the Alewife Brewing’s management team  

  • Perform other tasks as assigned including transporting and maintain table displays, setting up and breaking down events and pouring beer and educating consumers on the styles.


Requirements & Expectations:


  • NYC based local territory with a time commitment of 100%

  • Highly organized with proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Suite software; familiarity with VIP a plus. Candidate upon hire will be trained and have the capability to learn in-house CRM and Ollie Order sales management software 

  • Willingness and ability to work nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • You must thrive working independently and have a positive personality!

  • Ability to reasonably maintain sobriety and professionalism working in settings where beer is flowing.

  • Demonstrated knowledge about beer ingredients and the brewing process

  • Physically capable of a variety of duties including but not limited to repeated lifting of 30 pounds or more, and extended amounts of physical activity with prolonged standing and talking

  • Valid drivers’ license, clear motor vehicle record, and reliable transportation

  • Bachelor degree a plus but not necessary with 3 years or more of previous sales experience 



  • This is a full-time salaried position with the opportunity to grow with the company. Starting salary is competitive and commensurate with experience, in the range of $40k-$60k. Benefits include paid time-off, paid holidays. Company medical, dental available after set established service time.
